I can't for the life of me keep bubble corals in my tank. I can't figure out what the problem is. Can anyone out there help?

We need some info. Lighting, placement, and flow. We also need water perimeters...

Calcium = 400
Nitrate = 40-80
Nitrite = 0.5
pH = 8.0
KH = 240

I have metal halide's in the tank. It's a 75 gallon. I moved the bubble's last night to the sand, so hopefully I'll see something change. They were in the middle of the tank before.

I know that my Nitrate's are high, but I can't seem to do anything to remove them. I'm doing water changes weekly.

20 for nitrates start killing coral, 40 can start killing fish, what kind of filter are you using? Also whenever i first put a coral in my tank i put him in the bottom to get used to my strong lighting...

Could be flow or water source or tanks age.
Tanks age?
Amount of LR and LS?
All equipment used?
All or most stock?
This would be a good start.
