Icon5 Starter coral suggestions

I have a 110 wave front with 3 small softies- a colt, mushroom, and zooanthid frag. Good water numbers for 3 months, Aqualight pro 48" with metal halide, t5, and actinic. Right now its mostly live rock with good coralline, and 7 fish (angel, tangs, foxface, blennie, goby, and a clown). I would like to start building very slowly with the corals. Any suggestions for "decorating"? I'd like some color and shape, but I'm wary of and hard-to-keep corals until I get some more experience with saltwater (I've been in the hobby all of 3 months- I inherited the tank).
Thanks for any input!

The only concern with you fish and coral is naturally the Angel. They are know to be coral nippers and may be a problem with any additions of coral you make.
That said in addition to what you already have I would look into some Euphyllia. Especially the torch Euphyllia glabrescens or a frogspawn Euphyllia divisa. To me these are some of the easier of the LPS to keep and will give your tank some added movement with their swaying in the current.
Next I would think a fox coral Nemanzophyllia turbida, or a candy cane Caulastrea furcata.

Both look interesting. Since I just added the Zooanthid and mushroom 1 week ago, any suggestions for how long I should wait before adding another? I would hate to end up with a big water chemistry problem by adding too much too soon. And I do need to replace my bulbs. The Fox coral looks like it resides in the substrate, so maybe lighting is not as much an issue with that one?

Coral do not add much to a bio load. That said it is best to do a couple per week to let the water stabilize with the new additions as coral do add a certain amount of other chemistry to the water. So a euphyllis to day maybe another coral of some type on Friday etc.

I hear that some reefers do not like them, but Kenya tree coral is a great starter. They could grow in the worst conditions. A frag would be about $5 and once it gets bigger you could frag them yourself and put them all over your tank. They would look cool.
