| very possible. Being that they were in a "live rock" bin, and not treated like corals, its hard to say if that is the way they are supposed to look, or if they are just in bad shape :/ Not a big deal, I mainly work with zoanthids, and trumpet corals, so I'm not terribly concerned with it, would be cool if it turned out to be a clove polyp... |

| Looks like star polyps to me, its not unusual for them to be off color, widely spaced if they have been under poor conditions/poor lighting. They should color up and get thicker with better extension under better care. I have 2 frags from the same rock, literally split it in half, they have been in the same tank from the beginning, one was in a higher light area the other was in a lower light area and my sand sifting goby kept burying it. I moved them beside each other away from the goby's lair and was amazed at how different they looked. The one that had been under higher light was very full and mint green, the other was sparse and almost brown.

| Yeah, thats what I'm leaning towards... I think I'll leave it in my reef for now, and take periodic pictures as it gets better... Infomercials really sold me on the before and after ideas lol. |
