Default Sick Devil Hands Leather

First I will tell you my set-up. 55 Gallon reef tank with Korila 3 Koralia 1 and Maxi-Jet 1200 powerheads. CPR Bak-Pak 2r Skimmer and Emperor 330 HOB filter. I have the nova extreme pros with 6 54watts 3 acts and 3 6500k. I run the lights for only 10 hours a day.
My tank has been up and going for a almost 2 years now. I got the leater probably 4 months ago. And was fine for 2 months now it seems to be losing its fingers??? Attached are some pictures. I does seem to "slime over" which i head was normal, also its polyps seem to c ome out also but now it seems like it is decaying. I was thinking necrosis or something of that matter. But if anyone can tell from the pictures what is going on please give me some suggestions. I also have some mushrooms in the tank doing great and also some buttong polyps that are doing good.

The green leathers like that are more touchy than other leathers. I've never had problems with them, but other people around my reef club have. They like a lot of light and fairly slow current so I'd start by making sure that those two items are met and would frag off any dead/dying areas. You also may want to put a bag of carbon in your sump for a couple weeks.

Well that is the thing i dont have sump. Everything is hang on. The area where the fingers are falling off it looks good just not the fingers themselves. Furthermore a piece that had fallen off is already growing underneath it and that piece is looking good. And truly im scared to frag anything, is it something that could be done eaisly?
Thanks for any reply cause im lost as everything else in the tank looks great.

Just cut the parts that look sick below the area that is damaged to prevent it from infecting the healthy parts. The carbon you can put it in your HOB filter or inside the tank in a place where water will flow by the bag. By the way when cutting the leather use a sharp razor or scissors and try to do it in one single cut.

Hi my name is eduardo and i have 10 years in this hobby but ...
happened something i never watch.
Almost a week ago my yellow devil leather coral closed. He covered as usually in them with the protection film and three days after that the covered gone but it like dead, dont move and i dont see sign of it alive. Doesnt move, does nothing. It is not any change in color.
This happened because my ph meter was working bad and because mistake i get up the alkalinity too much (23).
Its may be dead, or it is alive?
sorry for my bad english.
Thanks a lot.
