Default Pistol Shrimp ATE TRUMPET

AHHHH I wolk up this morning and what do i see yes ohhh yes my stupid bullseye pistol shrimp devouring all four stalks of trumpet coral. It was doing so good. It also has killed a green mandarin goby. This shrimp in the past has been very mellow but ever since it's big claw reached about 1/2 inch hes become more agressive. Does any one know whats going on?

Everything on the reef eats something. In your tank they dont have much choice of food. Diets change with size. He is getting bigger and he is hungry. His capabilities with his bigger claw mean he can find more food or eat bigger things. All you can do is feed him more often, set up another tank, find him a new home. Once he finds a new food and gets bad habits its hard to go back.

That does make sence because i fed him a large quantity of brine and since he has not eaten anything else. i guess i will have to change his diet to a larger quatity
