Hey There, I am a rooky also. I have various mushrooms and although people told me they were some of the easiest I don't believe it. They are really fussy about the current, salinity(1.024) and temperature. An imbalance in these things makes them stess and shrivale up. They also need to eat. You don't say how many you have on the rock but my guess is they may want to establise a new colony. Perhaps you can check your LFS ask for something to reattach them and put them on a new rock. They also may want to be lower in your tank. Hope this helps. Let me know and I am a beginner also.

Mushrooms are by far amongst the easiest corals to keep in most tanks, although high lighting can make them more difficult. They shouldn't be falling off of the rock unless they are newly mounted shrooms that didn't fully attach yet. If that is the case, try placing the mushrooms in a low current location on the sand bed with some crushed coral underneath them. After a couple weeks, they should be attaching to the crushed coral and you can glue that to a rock. Another method is to use bridal veil/mesh to hold the mushrooms in place over a rock until they attach.
