Default anyone know of any white looking green polyp parasite or disease

I stunk at titles in college, as well.
I just got back from vacation and noticed that there is some white growth on my green star polyp. At first I thought it might be some sort of egg...it is almost like those little white sponges people can get in their tanks, but it isn't a sponge. It is soft to the touch. Then I thought it might be part of the coral, but I doubt it. I checked wetwebmedia. I found one similar discussiion, but the moderators had no idea what it was. Said that it might not be bad if it is not disentegrating the mat and the polyps are still fine otherwise. Otherwise, might have to frag. Anyone else have a problem like this?

Where are the white spots? I have heard of some forming in the center of the polyp. I remember seeing something in wwm about it also. I just got some GSP in my tank this week. I see a little bit of white in the center on mine, but unsure if this is what you're talking about.

Nah, the white in the middle of the star is normal. This looks like part of the matting.
