| It reminds me more of a SPS coral type, but I am naked without my shimek book, and I do not have this coral type in my tank. However, It may be a flow and light loving type of specimen. Could be a water parameter problem. Some corals like a higher pH.

| If you haven't tried a thread in the I.D. page yet, try that. Also, you might just need to play around with levels of light and flow.

| it is a kenya tree. just try to get it settled into the rocks, it should be fine. those thing are like weeds...you almost can't kill them, and they reproduce like crazy. if you can get it settled into the rocks (try just putting the base into a small crevice or hole in the rock) it will probably come back in a few days. |

| Ok from what I read on Kenya Tree I'm going to have a unhappy coral till it gets a rock . So I'm trying the rubber band to a rock . (Fingers crossed) Thanks AMS for the ID I have tryed the hole in the rock. With no luck and next to rock. I just tryed the rubber band and I had to stop typing to go stop my hermit crab from messing with the rubber band. He keeks it up and he is going to meet the hammer

| If a Kenya tree is like a colt coral with lots of slime you need to sew it to a rock with some fishing line and get it some where in your tank with almost no flow. ( That reminds me how bad I need a frag tank!) Sigh...so little time...so much to do |

| emccullough 1, Have you tried the toothpick method for adhering to a rock? Check out this site... http://reefkeeping.com/common/images...header10p2.jpg Does it always have it's polyps retracted? Photosynthetic, needs to be close to light, not on the bottom, needs very strong light.. http://www.saltcorner.com/sections/z...Cimbricata.htm |

| I had friend that started out with Kenya Tree Coral and it's going very quickly. Also, it has a nice shape and color. She super glued her Kenya Tree to the rock. I was thinking of starting out with a kenya tree. |

| c-c yes I tryed the toothpick as stated in my oraganal post. With near disaster. The rubber band has faild I now have 3 frags to get on a rock. The band was not tight but rather barley holing it down. But it decided to split . ElizabethPou I'm going out to get super glue as soon as I can get my legs working enough to get to my wheelchair. jimw369 I'm afraid to try a needle and fishing line after what happened with the toothpick.
