Default Xenia

Ok went to one of my LFS and it had a beautiful Xenia (they had it named as a pumping Xenia but I didn't see any pumping action). The color was a wonderful pinkish peachish color and I just loved the look of it. I have seen several Xenia before but this one captured my heart. So as I was looking at it on this small piece of LR I was dismayed because I saw not 1 but 3 aniptasia pests on the LR. Can anyone tell me is it easy to get the Xenia off the LR and then glue it or rubberband it onto LR in my tank that way I don't bring the pests into my tank?

The only other option I could think of was to use some superglue and superglue the pests into their holes so they couldn't come back out and would die behind the superglue.

Please let me know because I would love to get this Xenia.

Thanks a ton everyone.

Default Re: Xenia

thats a very good price!!!! I get mine from a store in iowa city and it seriously grows like weeds. it grows so well he sells it by the pound, by popund i mean the size of the rock its on it 20 per pound and it usually has like 20 stalks of pink pom pom pulsing exina per pound he has a rock with 2,000 stalks of xenia but its like $2,000 lol, it took him a year to aquaculture, so as you can see it grows fast!! i am starting to sell some og mine, and it is very hard to attatch to live rock one of the hardest corals to do that with! i would just treat it with joes juice or leamon juice if it is a really nice piece
