SDIRB will be having a meeting on Feb 16th we will leave the time open for opinion for a time that will work best for everyone who plans to attend, We will need to have a set time by wensday sense the 16th is coming up fast. Please reply here if you plan to attend the meeting, feel free to post any topics you would like to go over or if you have a "DIY" project you need done and bring everything needed we could do something like that. I have a 55 gal that I would like to set up as a sump. does any one have a glass cutting bit. I have a drill and the rest of the stuff. I just hate to buy a bit to use once.

Let me check on drill bits I know someone who might have them... What size are we looking for? I normally don't drill tanks as I don't want the liability, or if I do any drilling it is on acrylic...

I have a bit for 2 3/8" hole~1.5"bulkhead and then a 1.5"bit for 3/4" bulkheads.

If you are interested in having your sump built at the meet, You can pick up piece of glass from ace hardware for next to nothing, I got 4 pieces when I built my 29 gal sump for under $20.00 cut to the size that I wanted.

Are you running one of the stand alone skimmers? is that why sump needs drilled?

I could do a Sun meeting to get us going but prefer Sat as Sun is usually my I dont have to leave the property day!. The BNARC on 23rd sounds good but I can't attend.... I will be here the 23rd if anyone wanted to meet then but don't see the point if everyone else is going to bloomington!

I would be good with that... I think that all we need is a quick sit down to make plans for the next meeting and get a list of who is bringing what for the DIY and what it will be! My shop is right off interstate exit so leaving for BNARC would be easy from here. What time does that start so we can figure out times for this.

YES, I want to be there! Didn't get through all the posts...but if it is Sunday I have no problem being there...the 16th, I would not be able to make it.

OMG....talk about going nuts, I lost everything on my computer and had to do a recovory which took me back to factory settings and I lost all my favs, each link I clicked for reef builders gave me a error message...I thought I was NEVER going to make it back on here!!!

I think we are talking about meeting here on Saturday the 23rd and having a short meeting to plan future events and then the group going on to BNARC will leave from here. If you and your husband dont plan on going to BNARC I can spend some time after meeting helping you on some of your questions and issues.

I just looked at the BNARC workshop page it starts @ 1:00pm, I would say that those of who wish to head up to Normal would have to leave by atleast 11:30am mapquest says it is about 1hr 15min. So if it was to start at 10:00am that would give us an hour n half to get a couple things done................

Ok, well if it is the 23rd..I will have to make arrangements at work because I work every other Sat and that is one I do work....but I'm sure the other girl will switch a Sat. with me, really am not sure about the Bloomington one, would like to and I know there is talk of a carpool...I will have to see about that one.

I was in Springfield today almost stopped by your shop, just to see if you were there, but as usuall I was running behind and didn't have time...LOL, almost wasn't home in time for the kids to get home from school!
