Turtle's not really the right feel for a group more interrested in building...um...reefs. Maybe a mandarin?

It looks really great, but I agree with hubris. I know I am not part of the S-DIRB, but I thought I could throw my .02 in.

That kent marine bottle labeled patience... but use like a kent marine bottle with SDIRB on it???? lol... just kidding

Looks killer but I agree a reef would probably be more appropriate or at least something we could keep in our reef aquariums... I gave up on sea turtles 6 months ago... kept getting out! LOL (more jokes... I like turtles) been sitting at cp too long doing WORK... gotta vent a little

Seriously though that would make a cool t-shirt logo

I wasn't the hugest fan of the turtle either (although it's a great pic), but when googling for reef pictures, I couldn't get a very logo-worthy picture. I can easily change the pic when we come up with a better one. I know of two other clubs that use mandarins, so we should probably find an alternative to that.

How about this one? It's the fish from the Simpsons. The three eyed fish near the power plant

However funny that may be, I think we should TRY to make a serious attempt!

Darren, the logo you made up looks awesome! You really put some work into that buddy.

Although... the three eyed fish is sorta catchy lol.... we could use it as an example of why not to use springfield or decatur tap water in tanks... hmmm lake springfield... the simpsons live in springfield... coincidence?

Where in the heck is Illiopolis?????? Don't say Illinois! I lived there for 23 years (and escaped) and I never heard of it!
Elliott, you are from NJ for crying out loud!
My vote is for the 3 eyed fish logo. Get some t shirts made, I'll be joining you in about a decade.

But I will say this...I am very happy that I married my husband from Central Illinois and did our breeding outside of that area...I got a Chernobyl feel watching that video.

I like that idea. I can try to find a suitable picture to use as the entire background for the logo as well. I just made it in Excel with word art, so it's nothing too fancy or difficult.

I'm open to any ideas to switch it up, or if we have anybody out there that has any "real" graphic design skills, feel free to step in.

I like that latest logo... it would make a cool bumper sticker too!

Chernobyl... lol.... I live by where Formosa chemical blew up a few years back!

I tell you... property is cheap and my tomatoes in my garden are the size of basketballs!
P.S. we don't drink the well water
