Default Overflow Boxes

Lady G has expressed interest in overflow boxes. I have dealt with many many many overflow boxes but have not used specifically the life reef model. Has anyone used their product? It looks good on the website, but lotsa things look good on website! I have had good success using Tom Aquatics lifter pump on an aquarium but the vast majority are the grab some airline tubing and spit in a bucket type that I deal with. I also have not had all the bad luck I constantly hear about of losing siphon on most models... it happens from time to time, but even killing power, changing water etc majority seem to rarely lose siphon. And in the business I am in I do that nearly every day! I would be curious to hear if anyone has or is using this product and hear some feedback not only for her but if its a product worthy of recommending to others. thanks

I use exclusively SOS Tidepools for my overflows. I love them. No experience with lifereef, though.

I have great luck with the tidepool systems the only complaint I have is the media trays can be a pain to slide out sometime and they could be roomier for more gadgets.

What can you tell me about lifereef ryan? Goods, bads? Compared to other systems you use(d)?

One thing about most overflow boxes that annoys me... well, its not the boxes themselves but those crappy plastic wing nut screws that I end up breaking trying to level and secure keeps me running to hardware store for more! A teflon, kevlar, epoxy wing nut is something I should invent!

Make my fortune in wing nuts for skimmer boxes!

I have Life Reef. Today I had another 2 hour power outage and when the power came back on I still had a dry floor. Very good product that I cant say anything bad about

Awww, Thanks Mike!! Obviously I have no experience with them...but it has been recomended to me by someone I do trust. He has had his set up for over a year and said he has never had a problem. Apparently overflows have a problem with siphoning?? He said this is one brand he has never had a problem with.

Anyway thank you!

I love life reef, plumbing is a breeze. No complaints. I have sump, refuge, overflow and all plumbing parts.

If you do installs buying from lifereef is a great way to go!
