You guys may hash this out where everyone can comment here and there (reef discussions is a nice place), but this is not the right forum. Instead of talking about an ailing coral, we are going back and forth on the scholar vs hobbyist vs someone who may or may not know something.

Let's get back to SPS.

Thanks
I agree, but that doesnt change the fact that its RTN and not bleaching .

That way you stop it is to cut off the affected area, be sure to cut off into the good area so you are sure to have a healthy piece you plan on saving. Do a iodine dip before and after cutting, and be sure to sterilize whatever you plan on using to cut it with.

there is no way your parameter are good, not with those algea bloom's, temps were way to high one, whats a list of your equiptment, 4 months isnt a mature tank at all. what test kits are you using ? using ro-di water ect ?

umm hang on the tank refugium, 100gal protien skimmer, and two 850 gpm power heads. but yeah for sure it was the temp bleaching it out. i had a defective heater at the time that wouldn't turn off... lesson learned, dont buy rena. oh and i'm using the reef master test kit by API, i know i should buy a better one.

I agree that it is RTN and in the case possibly caused by excessive nitrates / phosphates. Other possibilities could be low flow, and high temperatures.
