Default What's this on my montipora?

Attached is a photo of a montipora that appears to have something coming through the surface (the rusty brown spots). If a montipora gets a pustule, I would say that is what it is.
The second photo is a similar spot on a different montipora that I obtained from the same source.
Can anybody identify what I am dealing with and how to handle it?
Thanks.

LL

I'm no coral id expert but the first photo appears to be more like Pavona rather than a Monti. Sorry I'm unfamiliar with whatever it is on the coral. Perhaps some more brighter more in focus shots would help.

You are correct - that is a Pavona. My error.

Well, check out this site...look at some pics of the acoel flatworms. See if you can rule them out. If you have them, the methods of getting you system under control are listed in this link.

Default Aef?

I'm checking this out - hopefully it's something I can rule out.

Thanks.

What are you talking about? Is it the dark hole in the center?
