Default monopora getting eaten?

My monoporas doing fine accept its been dying off from one side, i think somethings eating it but its not anything visible. I've been keeping fairly good tabs on it so i know its none of my livestock, everything leaves it alone. Also, its only the monopora thats been affected... any ideas?

Can you post a pic including any neighboring corals?

no because i dont have a camera. I can tell you its a coulple inches from a galexy, candy cane, frog spawn, and a trumpet. None are touching and its dying really slowly from one side, hence why i think somethings munching on it.

some corals have long stinger tentacles that come out at night and sting their neighbors to make more room. Try moving it so there is alot of room between it and any neighbors, and I'd also try running some carbon in case the corals are having chemical warfare.

Sorry I didnt get back to this earlier, I missed the new post on it. If theres a galaxia close that will probably be your guilty party, at night they can send out stinger tentacles 6 or more inches. If the damage on the monti is on the side close to the galaxia that would be my first bet.

I agree, the rule of thumb is to keep your corals at least 6in. apart, hope I remember this while my 110g is slowly but surely being turned into a reef ( wish me luck, HEY I'm Irish LOL)
