I would like to nominate my tank to tank of the month. This tank means a lot to me as this was my first reef tank and any one familiar with this site may know the history. Reef building is a commitment, and these can be the rewards should you chose to except the responsibility I started my reef in sept ,8 2001 My birthday by the way any way by early 2002 this is my tank. After careful consideration I want to tell you all a story of what a reef tank means to me. First this makes me proud as to this is no easy task for anyone. I could not be more proud of this: You might notice that tangs are my favorite fish and if you look closely you will notice my damsels that cycled the tank still in there as i believe they were my symbol of success ![]() Corals maybe hard to keep but my favorite fish is even harder so when I look at these I see my favorite pets of all time and they were the Tangs of this tank! ![]() I have a story to tell and should I win tank of the month I have a lot to tell about trials and errors. I was proud of this tank. I am happy to share my experience with every one good and bad. My hopes are that someone else will join me in the May tank of the month. Somewhere out there, there is a tank more deserving than mine. Please submit yours!

No they do not fight. They schooled around the tank. I like to echo the fact that one of the keys of keeping multiple tangs in your tank is the order in which they are introduced. Also would like to say that the bare minimum size tank should be at least 4' long these fish like lots of current as well. Push as much water as you can afford too! These fish will thrive. We are still looking for Tanks Guys! Lets see your masterpiece.

I agree with Krazy K tangs in my opinion when they get bigger they will be fighting for room, food and a place to hide. I am not downing the tank at all if you can make it work then good luck and the tank is beautiful I really like it alot i hope more tanks join in the nomination tread!!!

I like how we all have different views and can say them without an arguement If this were some of the other web sites that I wont mention, this would be an all out disrespectful war.. Its nice to say your opinion, hear the next opinion, respect both sides even when disagreeing while keeping nice with each other. I really like that ![]() I also say JVhardings tank pics is awesome looking to say the least. He knows I dont mean anything, its just my personal view with tangs... ![]()

75 Gallon Reef Running for 9 months More criders than you can see such as a large coral baded shrimp, sandsifting star, flame scallop, brittle star, tons of crabs, snails, etc. This isnt just a normal tank, the inhabitants of this tank endured 2 weeks of low 90 degree water. Apparently the thermometer I had was bad so I kept turning up the heat until it got to 75. When I came home from vacation (2 weeks later) the water was very warm, but noticed the thermometer showed 72. Bought a new thermometer and showed 91 degrees. Not all the fish lived but all corals did. Feel free to 2nd my nomination. If not enjoy the photos Steve Last edited by smfettig; 04-21-2007 at 11:25 PM. Reason: cant attach photos

Nice tank smfettig. Are the three new pics larger images of the tiny pictures you submitted earlier? Because the little ones looked interesting if they were bigger. And doyou have some pics of the whole tank from different angles?
| ||||
Here are a couple more I took. Remember I took these over the course of a few weeks so the gorgonian might be in a different spot along with a few other corals, but other than that I think most of the inhabitants are the same. Enjoy the photo's. Thanks, Steve

Allright... let's try this again. Tank Size: 180 Gallon Tank Type: Mixed Reef How long running: 8 months or so Reason for Nomination: Hmmm... It's a high demanding, high maitenance, trying hobby that definately has it's rewards... winning a T-O-M would be one of them! Well, I've definately made some changes and added a lot of livestock since I entered the first TOM thread, and my tank will continue to evolve throughtout the years (maybe into a bigger tank, don't tell my wife though!) As everyone else who has entered this great arena, my tank too has a story. It is quite unique in many ways... it even emails me ever hour at work to tell me how it's doing. But enough on that, here's what you really want to see... THE PICS!!! Full Tank Shot (Actinics) ![]() Full Tank Shot (Hitting it with the daylights) ![]() Mid Tank Shot ![]() Frogspawn ![]() Big D

| Great pictures of a great Reef Tank! I am glad you resubmited your your tank to TOM. Awesome rock work did you glue it in place? ![]()
