This is my favorite site, and I hate to see people not get along. If it were not for this site, I would have thrown in the towel on my tank. As soon as I get a cord for my camera, think will post in TOTM. Even if I don't win, at least I have a tank that I am not afraid to show, thanks to all on this site!

I was called a legend in my own mind, like a four year old, silly and a turd...all by mods. I was told members were complaining about my posting. If you were a member and I sounded harsh I'm sorry you felt that way. Jim I believe that you have learned alot and can contribute good things to RB, and many other sites that I won't mention. I know that you have Researched Plenty. In my Post I mentioned Expression and Interpretation These are the areas where things get out of hand sometimes. At least that is what I believe happens here. There maybe constructive criticism here at times. We may Agree to Disagree and if we do this and move on then we continue to grow. It's a shame to see so many come and go because if a disagreement. If we don't get our opinions across in one thread. Sometimes it takes being thrown out there many times to be adopted to be not a bad idea in some cases. Take for instance the Vinegar and Limewater will be one of those things that right now does not seem to be a good idea, 2 years or who knows this could be common place! The Core members here have gone through some issues where we have too shake off what is in the past and move on. All of you make RB what it is not the Mods or Ryan. I value all the members here. I have seen RB grow in all kinds of ways over this past year. In general I believe that we could be disagreeing in one moment and be pulling together to help someone like Moochi the next. I am very passionate about reef keeping and RB as well as the membership here. Ryan may Own the Name RB, but lets face it RB is what we Make it!

With that being Said Jim I would sure like to see your Tank in the January Tank of the Month! Show us the fruits of what Research will Bring!

We all have shared a common goal here let us not forget what that is!

Being one of the mods, I'd like to know when I called Jim any one of those things. Lets not lump everyone together. I believe that both Jack, Ryan, and myself have been very helpful to you Jim.

I think Jack has said everything that needs to be said about the RB community. There are many different ways to get to the same goal within this hobby. What works for one person may not work for everyone. Sometimes, we may not feel or agree that one way or another is as good as other ways. There is nothing wrong with that. All of the RB users share an equal responsibility to provide good, reliable information. YOU, as a RB member, is what makes the community valuable and a success. The primary purpose of the mods is to keep things under control so nobody gets pushed away from this site and to help guide people into making good decisions.

No use getting on the defense, guys. I have been sort of watching this thread and I can tell that some of these remarks are about me...maybe not solely, but some.

I agree with shaking off whatever is going on. Some of these complaints are from well before I was a moderator. As for Jim: I believe my phrase was probably "lazy turd". I call a lot of people that. In fact, we were all friends, or I thought we were at the time. I am sure I have called many people a turd on this site and if that is the worst you have been called at your age...sounds like you have had a great life. You chose to leave on your own, Jim.

But really, this thread has gone awry! This is a voting thread. What are we doing? I may not be a moderator anymore, but I will say that life is too short for this!

Yes, we have many people registered. Let's think about this: People come and go, some people stay out of this section...maybe it would be better to showcase TOTM where it will have more traffic, maybe maybe Ryan has a few good contests which draw extras in. All sites will have a certain group of regulars, with people popping in and out here and there, and some never really posting more than once.

I was one of the first couple of people to vote in this thread, and I believe I just saw another thread reminding people to vote. Good. I hope they do not read through the thread just to see how "silly" this has become.

It is and we wish everyone here the best of luck! By the RB rules we are not even supposed to be able to post here, but for the voting purposes I have to leave the thread open so that all may vote. My intentions here are only to keep what RB is about! That is the end result a beautiful reef. Something everyone here can be proud of. Maybe we all had a part in a nominations success! I completely redid my tank so the tank u all see in this months thread is much different then the new setup.......much better. Hey Jack I was wondering if it'd be ok if i entered it into next months, since it looks like Elliots got this one wrapped up. I only wish I had the new setup before I entered this months!
