 Hitch hickers I just recieved a new 6 inch crocea clam. hidden deep inside is a small pair of crabs. Both are bone white. All I see ever are the tips of 4 legs, and the odd feeding "feather". Does anyone have an idea what this may be. And if it is a problem how to get rid of it.?

| Re: Hitch hickers Are you sure that you're seeing small crabs and not the clams gills? If it is a pair of crabs, I'd contact the person that you purchased the clam from to inform them that your clams has crabs inside of it and if it dies that you want a replacement at no cost. There are plenty of crabs that will pick away at and eat crabs, but I don't know of any that are beneficial to crocea clams.

| Re: Hitch hickers Im sure they are crabs. The clam is doing great, and they appera not to be harming it. They almos look like Porcelin crabs of some type.
