Default Two new clams

Well I've always had my two crocea clams, then I had bought a tear-drop maxima, a nice clam, But it just never "did-it" for me...

Well I brought the maxima back for some credit...

I came home with two more clams though instead of one...

I got a very nice sized squamosa and a small deresa clam

Pictures :

The Squaggie!!!

The Deresa:

The new happy family :

Any advice for good health on the small deresa (I normally would not buy such a small clam, but I liked its pattern)

its amazing how the clam attaches itself to a rock with that threadlike organic material. when i bought my 1st one...i wanted to move it somewhere else in the tank and i gave it a tug and was blown away when it didnt just pull free without a good yank.

Are clams hard to care for? Do other things eat them? Does there need to be more than one? They add so much color to the tank I'm just worried they are hard to maintain. I love the lines in the one you purchased and the color on the others are great.
Thanks for your help.

I have to comment on this.

Fishhead-dont "yank" clams from their rock. If you tear those little threads you see coming out the bottom of that helpless little clam its stands a good chance of dying.

Please do diligent research before purchasing animals. They will love you back if you do!
