bye "these" I think you mean polyps?

and the answer is maybe. depending on how well you feed your flame and the tastebuds of the flame. They are usually a hit or miss kind of fish along with many other dwarf angels.

ha jim no cause last time was xiena ( tan) which was the only one i know it picks on and its close to dead already (sad) but these are button polyps they dont have stacks like xiena so it wont look as attractive to the flame angel as the ones with long stacks would (because it does not pick at my mushrooms...)

I have yellow polyps, a couple of unidentified zoanthids, some xenia, a new branch of hammerhead coral, and a baby clam - the flame doesn't bother any of them. He mostly stays in the rockwork.

its a 50/50 chance, but that 50% could be yes, and it might be that rare colony that they get at.

So far so good with mine. The only thing he ever touched was a plate coral. I moved it to another tank. He doesn't bother Xenia, Zoas, or really anything else for that matter. I think they are kinda like the Foxface. Keep them well-fed and you have better chances. Such a beautiful fish though!

Thanks----- I must have an exception to the rule, because the very moment I put a small xenia frag in the tank- the flame goes near it to see what it is, all the other fish leave it alone....but the chrysurus gobbles the xenia so FAST!!!
I am going to try to get larger, more polyp to a rock specimens to acoid being wiped out in 5 minutes!
