    wow those are pretty sweet ive havnt seen those around my lfs before do u know the name?

    They look like a beautiful colony of rare Purple Hornets. Not too sure if they are true hornets, but they certainly look close enough to be them.

    they are supposed to be african blue zoas. They took several months of being under a metal halide before it got the coloration.

    Yes sir that would be their full name, African Blue Hornet Zoanthids. I have seen the blue and purple names switched around often, they look like a perfect mix of each color.

    Usually you will only find these online, though you may be able to special order them through your LFS. They can get very pricey, upwards of $50 for only 2 or 3 polyps.
