Default Attaching zoo's

Will zoo's attach to live rock if tied down with something? I just recieved a rock of paly's zoo's, proto's and briarieum in the mail and one of the zoo colonies was detached where it was glued on. (Also some on the briarieum, star polyps, were lose) So I take a small plastic tie and tied it down to a different piece of rock. Will this take in time. And also will the briarieum flatten out and fully reattach? As far as glueing them i've heard they don't take to apoxies very well, any suggestions? thanks

You Can Superglue Them Down As Well Your Lfs Might Have Something You Can Purchase. I Used Some Krazyglue To Do My Polyps That Detachted From The Shipment.

How exactly do you glue? In the water? Take the rock out? How to do?

I got my Zoo fom my LFS, it was a real small piece of Live rock, that had around 10 polyps attached. I tried the fishline tie, and I still had problems when the blue legged crabs went visiting. So I asked my LFS, and he sell this putty made by Marineland, and he was nice enough to give me an inch of this stuff. I have used a little to snug it down works real good in the water. I still have plenty left keep it enclosed in ziplock bag.

Lori,

Just take the rock out, the coral will be fine for a few mins while you use the super glue gel or epoxy...

I've found the best gel so far to be the loctite brand, althought I've heard good things about the IC gel they sell on ebay...

as for epoxy, I use the "Aqua-mend" from home depot, its $2.49 a stick and it doesnt mess my skimmer up for days like the "aqua-stick" from two little fishies does

Sure can

Just take a razor blade and cut it right off at the base of the rock, whats left will grow back

you can toothpick it and tie the toothpick to a rock or sow it on with a sowing needle and thread, superglue wont work with xenia, its to slimy, I just cut it and throw it in a 10 gallon tank with practially no flow, within a week, its attached and pulsing harder then ever
