| Zoos are very hardy. You can use the super glue gel to glue them to a piece of LR rubble. If you're concerned about acclimating first, here's a possibility. You acclimate them as usual, then put them into something like a cleaned cottage cheese container with some rubble in it. Then cover it with some type of mesh attaced with a rubber band. Then set it in your tank a few days. After that, do your gluing...just an idea. Be careful if you're getting palythoas...use gloves if you do...they are extremely poisonous!

| you know I don't even know what palythoas are....I'm assuming there a type of Zoo but thanks for the heads up. I think what I'll end up doing is just acclimating the zoo's (possibly by the drip method unless others here have a better idea) and then just tossing them in on the piece of LR rubble. BTW where do you buy LR Rubble anyway. |

| Krazy is going to have LR rubble for sale as well. I personally temperature acclimate my corals. They all do fine... |

| My two cents is ....I acclimate my by first floating the bag I brought them home in then slowly adding a small of my tank water to the bag at a time, making sure the bag does not tip over in my tank or sump. ( I use a clothes pin to clip the bag to the side of the tank.) After I have about 75% of my tank water added to what water was in the bag, I pull the coral from the bag and place it in my tank. I use this method only if I trust where the coral comes from otherwise I would dip the coral first before placing in my tank. As far as putting the zoas in the tank I would keep them on the rubble or frag disc they came on and use some aquarium epoxy to attach them in place. Just let them grow out over the disc on to the rock you want them on. I hope this helps you...Good Luck. Rj P.S. Rubble... take a small rock and break it up.... | Sorry it took so long to get back to you guys but thanks for all the great help...I like the bag method better because I'm used to doing that with FW fish. I'll have to pick up some rubble when I get my tank in place..and some epoxy. One last question that's kinda off topic in this thread but oh well. Does anyone use that kent marine IV drip system to add supplements to there tank...it's not all that expensive and the method seems very good. |
