what would cause brown button polyps to turn white in the middle?

From what I have read they eat and defaecate from the center mouth. My guess is that is what it is. I don't know what kind of flow you have them in. But if it is real slow may be you should move them to a Little stronger flow. Like I said I'm only guessing. I'm real new at this.
