Default zoos = me sick?

Ok is this just coincidence or did handling my new zoanthid frag without gloves make me sick?

im not sure what kind they are. But i held the bottom of the plug when i was removing the algae, also put it back in the tank that way. I may or may not have touched them. I dont know exactly how toxic they are to ppl. I have common cold symptoms, sore throat and dizzyness. Im thinking its just coincidence, but ive been reading so much on them since i got em yesterday its got me worried, all i keep seein is that they are toxic.

Hmmmm
I'm not a doctor, but I must say "tis the season" for these kinds of symptoms.

It's probably just a coincidence. Usually when people get affected from touching corals, they get rashes, numbness, or inflammation.

Ken,
RN for over 20 years. Sounds like you think too much about what you read Sounds like the common cold. Did you get the flu shot yet? For my fee, I also accept brandy

yea i know its just a common cold. I just got worried when i read that they can be toxic and i was handling it, then the next day i felt sick so i was doubly worried. yes thankfully i have gotten the flu shot already. So hard to come by. Im glad i have a connection! My doctor wants me to pay him up front in full for it and then bill the insurance, i just cant afford to do that so i have to get it other ways. lol.

You also have to be careful due to the Vibro that exists in just about all Saltwater systems. Vibro can cause you to become ill with flu like symptoms and will generally go away on its own or with some antibiotics. There are a lot of articles out there regarding this subject that most reefers' either ignore (myself included) or just do not pay attention to. The fact is though that the Vibro bacteria/virus lives in all marine environments and can be transmitted to humans.
