Hmmm
Have water parameters?
What is your lighting and where is its placement in the tank?
Out of curiosity, when was your last water change? I have seen zoanthid recession when water changes have been ignored for an extensive peroid of time. They can handle les than perfect parameters, but I also believe that they benefit from trace elements.

I have 30gal total water volume. I change 5 gal weekly without fail.
I have t5s lighting 4w per gal
They are about 1/2 way up in tank.
Nitrates fluctuate between 5 to 15
Nitrites never had a reading sense cycle 0 all the time
Ammonia the same 0
PH 8.3
Salinity !.026
Calcium 440 + or - 10 Test kit variable
Tenp fluctuates between 78 to 83

Like I said every thing else is doing grate including other color Zoanthids. which are at the same hight in fact within 2" of each other.

Sounds good. Really, polyps can go crazy with growth and others take their sweet time. As long as they are not disappearing you should be ok.

That is how my giant sun plyps were. Took a good 4-5 months to grow but once they start, they dont stop!

They are not shrinking just not spreading like the other ones. I guess it is like a watched pot. I really like them and want more.

You might try putting them a little higher. It seems I read somewhere that the lighter colored the zoos are, the closer to the light they should be.
