| The first colony of zoas I had quadrupled within a year and have taken over a whole chunk of fiji. They can grow quickly...sometimes quicker than we would like. Some only grow a couple of new polyps a year. 2 factors for their growth: 1) your water quality and 2) the zoa itself. As long as it is growing, you should be fine. It is when they recede you have a problem.
