Default zoos seem to be...

Overgrowing each other instead of spreading off the disc. Ive only had them for about two weeks. Water is good, nitrates below 10, no ammonia or nitrites. temp is steady at 77.5 and ph is at 8.3. Is this normal behavior for the first few weeks? how long till i notice them leaving the disc?

Default Re: zoos seem to be...

The first colony of zoas I had quadrupled within a year and have taken over a whole chunk of fiji. They can grow quickly...sometimes quicker than we would like. Some only grow a couple of new polyps a year. 2 factors for their growth: 1) your water quality and 2) the zoa itself. As long as it is growing, you should be fine. It is when they recede you have a problem.
