Since I was in Las Vegas this past weekend on Business, I took the time to go to Mandalay Bay’s Shark’s Reef Aquarium exhibit located inside of Mandalay Bay hotel & Casino. This exhibit features an array of animals including sharks, sawfish, stingrays, endangered green sea turtles, piranha and Golden Crocodiles in North America’s only predator-based aquarium. In all, there are over 2,000 animals in 1.6 million gallons of seawater. Based on other exhibits i’ve been too this was actually quite small, however it still had a very powerful impression. Here are some quick snaps of the aquarium.

Going up the escalator to the exhibit…

This guy was incredibly easily to photograph, he would just sit there and stare at you.

They had several of these walk thru tunnels of glass/acrylic surrounded by water. Quite a sight to see.

They had quite a lot of jellyfish, the most by far of any aquarium I have seen to date.
