I discuss the 4 most common mistakes made by new reef keepers. Narrowing it down to 4 was actually hard. Most of you advanced aquarists out there should already know these common mistakes, nevertheless it is a great review for those of us that are reef veterans. Even better for those of you just starting out. Learn from our mistakes.

    “Please take what your local-fish-store says with a grain of salt.” This advice couldn’t be more accurate. I’d say the LFStores in my area are right only half the time; the other half they just tell you what they think you want to hear in order to make a sale. Your best bet is to do your research first and never buy impulsively; the purchase can always wait till tomorrow. ;-)
