Tony, who is from Rhode Island was denied a job at Rumford Pets, a local fish store in the Rhode Island area. He went and applied and updated his personal blog that said: “So I finally heard back about the LFS job yesterday. I was told ‘we hired someone with more experience and also we can’t use you because your a disabled vet‘”.

    thats illegal, call the better business bereau and report it. Rumford isn’tgood anyway, i went there the other day and all there stuff is to expensive and there livestock seems low in quality. eveyone working there looks like there 15 and they have no experience.

    It’s not illegal if it states in the application that they need a physically fit person to lift, carry, etc. If not, then they can deny his application. Another example, modeling for a certain size swimsuit, must fit suit..if you can’t then it’s not discrimination, is it?
