It doesnt happen often but an extremely limited batch of Amphiprion mcculochi clownfish should be gracing our shores near the end of the month. This beauty from Lord Howe Island Australia is endemic to the region but it also requires cooler water to thrive. We’re not at liberty to discuss the asking price for the preorders of this beauty but we can tell you that it’s enough to set up a reef tank, a nice reef tank. The photo is from “John” on Picassa.

    I read on RC that they are going to cost several $1000s for a pair. Hope someone will get them to bread so they are more regularly available in the states.

    You’re about halfway there on the price. Even if they are successfully raised, this is a coolwater fish that will not do well if placed into a regular reef aquarium.
