GHL the makers of the profilux aquarium controller and GHL dossing pump has confirmed that they will be releaisng a new T5 pendant lighting system that will be “plug and play” and unlike most other T5’s they promise it will be dimmable. It seems that a horde of Dimmable T5 lighting systems will be hitting the market soon, we just got a gander at one while we were at ROP just last week. GHL promises to have the new pendant lighting system available in several colors to choose from, including the Tanish color that is pictured. The new T5 dimmable pendant will be avaiable in all wattages all the way up to 80 watts for 8 full tubes. Early reports suggest that the first models will hit in January 2009 and additional models will trickle out from there.

The Pendant is now being spear headed by Fauna Marin De which will include all GHL dimmable component sets for plug and play ProfiLux control.
The design has now changed also as the project has rolled forward with the following features being added
Up to 10 tubes per fixture
Full dimmable option in all ranges
LED light for shimmer effect
Intergrated intelligent cooling fans for active cooling dependant on temperature
