There seems to be an epidemic of large massive protein skimmers that are hitting the market. Granted these skimmers are needed for larger aquariums and have their place in modern reef aquaria. Most of these skimmers can be hidden in small or medium sized refrigerators as to give you some idea of the size.  ATB’s XXL skimmer is one piece of equipment that would fit in the “medium sized refrigerator” category. A customer got this behemoth up and running in which it pumped out 15 liters (3.96 gallons) in the first 15 minutes of being setup. What about being finally broken in? The XXL skimmer started producing 4 liters (1.05 gallons) of nasty skimmate over 12 hours. Delicious skimmate pictures after the break!
