about Reef Builders

Reef Builders is an online community dedicated to reef tanks. Our popular reef blog informs reef hobbyists about popular reef equipment and the saltwater industry in general. We have discussion forums where you can talk about your reef tank, ask questions and receive help from reef community members. If you are just starting out in the saltwater aquarium world, reef aquarists have found that the Beginners Guide to Saltwater Aquariums and Tanks has been helpful in starting their journey towards reef keeping.

In addition to lights, pumps and R.O. units AquaticLife is also offering 5 different models of aquarium water pH and Orp controllers. There are two models which simply control pH or Orp and 3 models which control one parameter and monitor the other. One of the unique models which we believe will find a useful niche is the unit which controls pH with one probe and monitors pH with another probe. This model is particulalry attractive to reefers running a Calcium Reactor as the only way to keep an eye on two sets of pH before was to have two pH controllers or having a full fledged aquarium controller. All models feature an intuitive interface, a clear splash guard and multiple mounting options with all of the wiring going through the back of the unit. We are unaware of any online vendors which are offering the units for sale yet but the company has been steadily adding shops which carry their products on their website’s dealer locator.

I was told that there will be no online retailers for Aquatic Life products, at least not in the near future. The goal of the company is to deal directly with independant shop owners on a one-to-one basis.

Yeah I thought that they had mentioned something to that effect. I dont know how successful that strategy will be when nearly all other manufacturers sell online.
