While most of us probably love our Eheim pumps that drive some part of our sump system, you might not know that Eheim does produce canister filters for the freshwater crowd. Although we don’t suggest getting a canister filter, we thought it was interesting to note that the new 3e electronic canister filter includes a microprocessor on board (pun intended). These come in two models 2076 and 2078 and retail for about $350 for the smaller model. The 2076 is rated for up to 700 liters (184 gallons) and comes with a  3 year warranty, these are great for a fish only or freshwater tank.

    Is the Eheim 1103 pump available in the US? I am thinking about modding my ASM G3 with an upgraded pump.
