While Eheim isn’t exactly known for aquariums, more for efficient pumps they might get into aquarium building. A uncovered concept aquarium has made its way into our hands and although not revealing much we did get some nice tidbits from it. It is a sump system, with the pre-filtration, space for skimmer, overflow protection, adjustable water level, reservoir for water refill (sound familiar Elos). Several question of course pop into our minds: Will this come to market? Will it be available in high clarity glass? What is the price point? This and other questions might be answered very soon.

It has taken some of these older aquarium companies quite a long time to catch up with the newcomers in aquarium design. “Only the paranoid survive” as Andy Grove of Intel said. Different industry, same capitalist lesson! Good for us hobbyists.
Eheim “might get into aquarium building”? Dude, Eheim has been making tanks for years. They just are not here in the states. I doubt this will ever be available here in the USA.
