Mandarin courting

Dear Reefbuilders readers, my name is Guin and this introductory post is to let you know a little about me and what you can expect from my contributions to ReefBuilders. I have broad interests in the hobby; my focus/interests may have A.D.D. from time to time but, we all do that, especially those who choose to turn this hobby into a career. Up until recently, my interest has been mostly in aquarium coral.  Thanks to inspiration from Matthew Wittenrich’s book “The Complete Illustrated Breeder’s Guide to Marine Aquarium Fishes”,  I’ve started collecting reef fish pairs like damsels, clowns, cardinals, gobies… etc. I am still in the beginning stages of aquiring “broodstock”, building tanks, turning a closet into a full fledged larval/breeding system, conditioning, and gaining support from significant other. I hope to chronicle my experiences from scratch and I hope you will enjoy following along with me. So besides new products, events, discoveries, and hobby news, I hope my contributions bring more to the table than the norm.

    Hi Guin,

I look forward to reading your accomplishments. You have a gorgeous pair of spotted mandarins to begin with.

    Thanks for sharing.
