At some point, Alita industries, the company that brings you high end air pumps decided to get really serious about air. We don’t know when exactly that was but they definitely have the goods to prove it. These pumps are designed to deliver a steady air flow at low pressure ranges. They are very high efficiency, low energy consuming air pumps with low noise operating levels. They all come with a 3 year warranty and feature oil-less components with no sliding parts. The AL-6A model pictured above pumps at 11 lpm while only eating through 13 watts. The noise level is a low 27 dB, this isn’t a little whisper air pump toy because its weighing in at over 5.3lbs. We aren’t exactly sure what applications reef aquarists would use a pump like this for, but we are certain our devoted fans might chime up. These retail for a stout $130.

That’d be great for DIY airstone skimmers.
I’m not that familiar with the measurement units, so I can’t say for sure, but it looks like it would run 2 or 3 8 footers.
That’d make some nice skimmate.
