The february 2009 issue of Advanced Aquarist just went live. It seems the AA editorial crew is fired up about giving the esteemed publication a much needed facelift and taking the mag in new directions. Among those new directions is an upcoming featured aquarium section which will carry the time honored Tank of The Month tradition which has been the mainstay of aquarium BBs since their beginnings. In his editorial Terry “The Godfather” Siegel gives readers a sneak peek at Steve Weast’s singular temperate marine aquarium. Other notable submissions this month include a sweet write up on Symbiosis by Michael Maddox, some more Carbonate chemistry lessons from Chris “M.S.” Jury, meanwhile Blundell and Durrant take a look at the types of bacteria which are being sold in Probiotic cultures. As always this publication is the freshest and the most original reef aquarium news to be found anywhere in the world, you ought to be glad you can read english.

That is great that they are doing a piece on temperate tanks. It is nice to see a featured tank that isn’t a 400 SPS garden. Will be great to see what else AA brings with their new format.

We’re always on the lookout for tanks to feature in the magazine. If you have a tank you’d like to have featured, don’t be shy. Email us at feedback@advancedaquarist.com and we’ll get you started. This is one area that we’ve really wanted to have as a staple feature of the magazine but suprisingly enough no one contacts us about their tank…
