profilux-ii-outdoor

What happens when you merge the Profilux II controller with a nice skin of weather proofing? The Profilux II outdoor model has appeared for the first time ready to take on humid conditions. The unit is a profilux in a weather proof enclosure based on the Profilux plus II ex. A powerbar is already integrated and is prepped for retrofitting up to 4 additional dosing pumps. Measuring and controlling of temperature, ph-value, conductivity and ORP and switching 6 devices all comes standard on the Profilux II outdoor. Inputs for level sensors and 1-10v interfaces are also includes. Upgrading the device for WLAN, additional powerbars or the SMS module is no problem. The Profilux II outdoor should hit stores at the end of April, although those living in the United States might have to wait a bit longer. The retail pricing is yet to be known, but were guessing this should be under $1000.

Seems like Profilux is stuck on the old technology while
Neptune (aquacontroller) and Digital Aquatics (ReefKeeper)
are moving into the future more and more every day.

Guess you have not heard about the profilux III coming out very soon that offers way and beyond anything else on the market. Furthermore unlike any other controller manufacturer you do not have to dump your existing controller to benefit. Just fit the PIII upgrade pack your profiLux Plus II or Plus IIEX and you good to go. Now thats a company thinking about its existing clients and future clients

Watch this space for the PIII and watch the competition get quite worried :)

I don’t think the competiton has anything to worry about
the Aquacontroller and ReefKeepers are so far ahead now.

I keep hearing about how great the Profilux is goine to
be but then it is just more of the same OLD stuff, Yawn.

I agree, profilux needs to get with the times. They keep saying they are #1 but the stuff all looks to be old designs. The other companies have much nicer and more modern equiptment, and for a lot better prices.

They have a guy on RC who keeps saying how great the profilux is, then he cries to the mods when his gets his tail handed to him by otheres when they show how limited this old technology is.

I guess you guys are not really reading the news about profiLux then.

In september the launch of the PIII comes out and then the compteition will have a lot to worry about

You see the difference with GHl and others is that they do not rush new stuff to the market and then expect the users to field de bug it but instead wait until the product is full ready and then launch.

Thats why you do not see pages of bug issues on GHL forums that the manufacturer has to list.

The ProfiLux outdoor is of no concern to the reef industry and is designed for the pond industry that is why it has no features to impress you.

Wait until the PIII comes out then feel free to try and pull it apart :)

You have 4 months to start thinking of things to say :)

Yep I waited and looked at the PIII

Still looks like the same old technology.

THE RKE has left the profilux in the past.

    Nice Try
