tunze-patent

A patent application unearthed hints that Tunze wants to patent the magnet holder itself, which is quite a feat. The abstract description describes “a magnet-holder for attaching an object to a glass pane has two parts of a holder which can be placed on mutually opposed boundary faces of said glass pane and are biased towards one another by a magnetic-force apparatus. In addition, that part of the holder which is disposed on the inner side of the glass pane has a contact plate whose side that faces towards the glass pane carries a plurality of elastic holding cups which can cling to the pane.” The patent was applied for way back in 2006 and hasn’t been approved yet, which means it is sitting somewhere waiting for an examining patent attorney to review.

I think the legal definition of obvious would encompass this patent. It’s funny that a vortech pump banner is just below this notice.
