The new Illuminata trimless aquarium line from Oceanic is truly an eye catcher. The tank we see is 57 gallon aquarium with a 36 x 18 footprint which is scheduled to be available in the May time frame. This unit is a prototype using a stock Mega-Flow overflow but we made our case for a slimmer tech-style overflow to finish off the look. The illuminata will be available without an overflow and the pricing will start in the neighborhood of $300. Although it doesn’t feature high clarity glass, the Illuminata does suggest that US aquarists may finally enjoy widely available modern designs in aquariums and trimless glass.

They look ok, but need to be deeper and not as tall, and then use black silicon to seal up the edges. The idea is right, but execution isnt.

I like the look of the rimless. but all of their tanks are too tall. that’s the reason I didn’t buy the tech series.
