One of the newest lighting devices to appear is Fauna Marin’s Starfire Extreme fixture. It has a LED Shimmer (flickering) effect or Moonlight ( controlled over internal Ballast and external control Box) and offers Single high end reflectors for deep light 98 % reflection. German made high end electronic Ballast with Cut off technology for longer life time and higher light output including electronic controllable active cooling for fans and tube. A splash water protection shield. A “comfortable” Y wire stainless steel hanging kit. Full powdercoated heavy aluminum body which allows only one powercord 3 meters long to snake from the unit. Don’t think Fauna Marin didn’t put dimmable options, they did, but only on the dimmable 10tube model. A 39w 8 tube unit will set you back $1,499, while the 54w 10 tube unit will be $1,799.
