Although the concept isn’t new, this is the first time that Metal halide, T5s and LEDs have been paired with a LumenBright reflector in a commerical environment. The system is composed of a LumenBright reflector without a ballast, as the reasoning is that most aquarists will want to choose their own ballast for themselves instead of relying on them to be preinstalled, which makes sense to us. With this setup you’ll get to choose a total of 4 T5 tubes to place into the 4 slots that will hold T5s lighting tubes. Obviously this is designed to be made into a custom hood (with ventilation) of sorts and wouldn’t look the best just sitting on your tank, unless you’re into that industrial design look. Retail pricing hasn’t been announced, but we couldn’t see these going for more than $300.

    fugliest to the max. looks like some cheap DIY crap. i wouldn’t give $20 for this-
