We might see a discount on Teco chillers here in the US. We aren’t sure if this is a temporary move or permanent but if you are in the market for a chiller then you might want to pay attention come Monday when Teco is expected to make the announcement. Most of us think chillers are a bit overpriced and a healthy discount would be the ticket to push us to order one, especially if you can get built in UV or heater options.

You mean CRAZY overpriced! When you can buy a dorm refrigerator for $49, then the prices for chillers are criminal.

If a company can reduce cost it is not unheard of for them to reduce the overall price of their product, in tough economic times like this, manufactures can come out on time by providing the best product at the best price. If they position themselves correctly in these times with superior product and the best price, they will get an even better reputation and sell more units overtime then their competitors. I would not be surprised if they decided to open a plant overseas to develop more product at a lower cost so they can past on the saving to consumers.
