Euro Reef had dropped few short statements about their upcoming VS Series protein skimmer and now their new webpage has made it official. The value-minded skimmer line shaves a little off the price by using inexpensive EcoPlus water pumps from Sunlight Supply which are more often used in horticulture and hydroponic application; we’ll have to see how they hold up in a saltwater environment. The images above were used to represent the VS skimmer although they display a CS400 and Eheim water pmp. 
We presume this new VS series will look very similar if not identical to CS skimmers but they will use extruded acrylic that is bonded to Heavy Duty PVC Type 1 sheet material. The VS skimmers from Euro Reef will be officially available come September 1st, follow the break for the full breakdown of models, capacities and pricing which starts at $200 for fractionating 200 gallons of fishwater.
