What do we have here? A new skimmer from ATB? Although we haven’t seen this skimmer before it sure looks like ATB might be in the works of brewing a new skimmer that should be for the budget minded consumer. Take a look at the bottom of the cone, see the attachment screws? This is something that we have seen on the Royal Exclusiv made Vertex Kone skimmers and it appears that ATB has entered into this market as well. This of course isn’t concrete we are simply assuming at this point but if ATB decided to get into the lower end market as well, perhaps even selling this skimmer as an OEM to another brand it would be make for some nice comparison shopping.

    the ATB 840 V1.5 came out last month with a molded cone, the ATB multi came out 2 months before that with a molded cone, and the new 1050 will have a molded cone too.

    that is the same cone body from the ATB multi but it has the cone neck, very nice option for those with a limited sump space.
