Elos has released a video of their new Suncolor LED module in action. The module which looks like the original Elos suncolor that used a 150 HQI metal halide bulb, but instead this module uses all LEDs. A quick glance of this video and it looks like a red/green/blue mixture of LEDs is being used here. We wouln’t be surprised if we saw this new LED system in time for Interzoo. It’s a prototype no doubt, but this prototype could be the key to spark next generation lighting systems like the Plasma light. The LED Elos Suncolor is sitting above a Elos mini aquarium which Elos released at Interzoo 2008.

If they truly are using color mixing/programmable LED’s what’s stopping Orbitech from suing them when they hit the US shores?
@ g
Nothing…and that is why it’s a prototype for right now
THat is one ugly light…Red is not at all a favorable color for a reeftank.
