Those OEM Royal Exclusiv cone skimmers, named Alpha with the Vertex brand name on them are said to be pretty popular. So popular in fact that a few of our reef cousins have wanted to get on in the action. Up to this point they couldn’t as the skimmers would only sport a 120v connection. Not any longer. The Vertex Alpha cone skimmers are now being offered with a 220v connection so it will work in the rest of the world. We just wish that European companies would get with the boat faster in exporting/readying their products for the US market.  We like having options. The new 220v skimmers can be purchased through Premium Aquatics.

    So how do these pumps actually hold up against their BK models? They seem to be priced fairly low in comparison, but they still sport the pricey red dragon pump.
