neomarine

NeoMarine the new salt by Brightwell has been received well by the hobbyist and amateur audience. Vivid Aquariums, one of the the nicest local fish stores in the country had the chance to mix up batches of the salt to see what real-world water parameters might be. The first batch mixed 150 gallons worth and produced the following results: Salinity 1.025
Ca 440 Alk 8.6 Mg 1380. Just to be sure two additional tests were run with different salinity levels. The first was mixed at
1.023/24 and produced Alk 7.6, Cal 380, Mag 1100 ph 8.2. Then again it was mixed to 1.025 and produced Alk 8.6, Cal 410, Mag 1260 Ph 8.3. It seems that Vivid Aquariums was getting consistent results which is a very good thing. Has anyone else gotten their hands on a bucket of the new stuff? What are your results?

One batch was Ca 440 and another is Ca 410? That doesn't seem very consistent to me. Is that standard that you'd get such a large difference in one batch of salt?

I like the Clarion on the bucket… as if it needs such high quality salt to survive : )

seems like there are major differences between the same batches – why id that happening ?
